Numbers 21:4-9; Deuteronomy 18:18
The people complained about the food God was providing for them. God punished them by sending poisonous snakes among them. Many of the people died from the snake bites. The people cried to Moses for help and Moses prayed for them. Then God told Moses, "Make a snake and put it on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live." So Moses made a snake of bronze and those who looked at it were saved. Moses was the greatest prophet of God that Israel ever had. For 40 years he led the people in the desert. Before Moses died, God said to him, "I will send another prophet like you from among the Israelites. He will tell the people everything I command." (Music and Signal)
